Petaluma, California. I remember it like it was yesterday. I arrived to the location early and panicked when realizing he wasn't there. I quickly rushed around the corner because I refused to be the one waiting for him... he had to think he was waiting for me. Little did I know that the person I was racing away from would one day become my husband. Wow, that sounds pretty crazy. My h-u-s-b-a-n-d... I love that.Anyway, after I made my "fashionably late entrance," there we were eating icys at a tiny pink table. The two wired chairs we sat on were meant to discourage long conversations, but that didn't stop us. Our 30 minute meet up turned into a couple hours... ending at a brewery where Daniel asked me to order for the both of us. As a 21 year old cooped up by Covid, my alcohol knowledge was limited. I glanced at the menu until I found a name I recognized- Prosecco. At a brewery that served every beer and cocktail under the sun, I chose Prosecco. Daniel politely smiled and happily drank with me. That is love.

Alanna and Daniel are lucky to live in beautiful Sonoma, a popular wine tasting and wedding destination. Unfortunately there are no large hotel chains in town, and all accommodations below are the more budget friendly options we've found. We recommend booking ASAP since October is high season for tourism. We also recommend checking Airbnb and VRBO for accommodation, which can provide other budget friendly options for staying in Sonoma.
